NOTICE: Our instructor for the Sunday @ 4 pm slow (teaching) session is out of town this weekend. Since everyone will presumably be busy with activities related to the Pipers' Weekend, we've decided to cancel the 4 pm session. The teaching session will resume on April 15.
For many years, Irish Music Traditions (IMT), the Atlanta branch of Comhaltas, has sponsored a "Slow Session", a way for beginners to learn to play Irish music (tunes and technique) under the tutelage of experienced, knowledgeable musicians.
The slow session is conducted from 4-5 p.m. on the first and third Sundays of each month (in between Irish set dancing from 2-4, and the Intermediate session from 5-7 p.m.) From time-to time and during the summer months the slow session may be cancelled or rescheduled due to competing events, holiday travel schedules, etc. Please call 678-559-6796 to confirm that class is being held.
Instruction for the upcoming session will be provided by Joseph Mitteldorf, a talented young fiddler and whistle player.
